Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups balsamic vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon chopped rosemary
  • 8 chicken thighs, skin on
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Combine balsamic vinegar and crushed garlic in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and continue to boil until thick and syrupy, about 8 minutes.
  3. Stir in chopped rosemary.
  4. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
  5. Place chicken in a large heavy skillet, skin side down, and sear until brown, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  6. Remove chicken and pour off excess fat.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet, skin side up.
  8. Place the skillet in the preheated oven and roast for 10 to 15 minutes.
  9. Remove chicken from oven and turn on broiler.
  10. Brush chicken with the reduced balsamic mixture.
  11. Broil until glaze is bubbly, about 1 to 3 minutes.
