Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup real butter
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups pecans

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter.
  2. Add corn syrup, vanilla, salt, and sugar to the melted butter.
  3. Heat until the mixture is smooth but not hot.
  4. Beat the eggs very well.
  5. Gradually add the beaten eggs to the syrup mixture, blending well.
  6. Add the pecans to the mixture.
  7. Pour the filling into an unbaked pie shell.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 55 minutes until the pie is browned and set.
