Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups catsup
  • 3 tablespoons salad oil
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • garlic to taste
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons A.1. sauce
  • 3 to 4 pounds chuck roast or 2 chickens

Instructions

  1. Bring all ingredients except the chuck roast or chickens to a boil; then cool slightly.
  2. Pour the marinade over the chuck roast or chickens and marinate overnight and the following day.
  3. Cook the meat over hot coals until done.
  4. Baste the meat as it cooks to enhance flavor and moisture.
