Ingredients

  • 3 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Measure flour, baking powder, and salt into a sifter.
  2. Cream butter with sugar in a large bowl until fluffy; beat in eggs.
  3. Sift in dry ingredients, a quarter at a time, blending well to make a stiff dough.
  4. Chill for 1 hour, or until firm.
  5. Divide dough into quarters; roll one at a time to 1/8-inch thickness.
  6. Bake in oven at 350°F for 10 minutes.
