  • 2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 c. vegetable shortening

Instructions

  2. With a pastry blender, cut in shortening until evenly distributed.
  3. Put the mixture in a large airtight container.
  4. Label the container.
  5. Store in a cool, dry place.
