Ingredients

  • 2 c. skim milk
  • 2 Tbsp. sherry
  • 1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
  • dash of nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a medium-size saucepan over medium heat, bring the skim milk, sherry, black pepper, and nutmeg to a simmer, stirring to prevent scorching.
  2. Stir in the dissolved cornstarch mixture and cook, stirring constantly, for 3 to 4 minutes until thickened and bubbly.
