Ingredients

  • 2 c. lightly packed fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 c. olive oil
  • 1/3 c. pine nuts
  • 1 large or 2 small garlic cloves
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine basil leaves, olive oil, pine nuts, garlic, and lemon juice in a blender or food processor.
  2. Process until smooth.
  3. At this point, the mixture can be frozen in an airtight container and kept for several months.
