Beef Chausauer

Ingredients

  • 1 to 1 1/2 lb. round steak or chuck steak
  • 1 small sliced onion
  • 1 (16 oz.) can Italian style tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. parsley
  • 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cut steak into 1/2-inch strips.
  2. Brown beef and onion in oil; drain.
  3. Combine all other ingredients; add to beef.
  4. Cook on low heat for an hour, or until beef is tender.
  5. Serve with bow tie noodles.
  6. Can serve over noodles or as a casserole by mixing meat and noodles in casserole.
  7. Sprinkle with cheese.
  8. Heat in oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
