Ingredients

  • 3 lb. lean beef cubes
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/2 c. white wine
  • 1 c. Marsala wine
  • 4 oz. can mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 tsp. rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan and add cold oil; add the beef cubes and sear until browned on all sides.
  2. Add chopped onions and garlic to the pan and cook until softened.
  3. Pour in white wine and Marsala wine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
  4. Add drained mushrooms, rosemary, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  5. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 2 hours until the beef is tender and flavors meld.
