Ingredients

  • 2 lb. boneless beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 4 medium carrots, thinly sliced
  • 2 c. water, divided
  • 1 (1 3/4 oz.) envelope onion soup mix

Instructions

  1. In a 4-quart casserole, combine beef, 1 1/2 cups water, soup mix, carrots, potatoes, and bay leaf.
  2. Cover with lid.
  3. Cook on High for 7 to 8 minutes and then on Medium-low for 55 to 60 minutes, or until tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add peas and flour, blended with the remaining 1/2 cup water.
  5. Cook on High for 5 to 7 minutes, or until stew is thickened, stirring occasionally.
