Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 lb. ground meat
  • 1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes
  • 1 can mushrooms (optional)
  • 1 large can (52 oz.) Ranch Style beans
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef, chopped onion, and chopped green bell pepper in a skillet.
  2. Drain grease from the browned meat and vegetables.
  3. Add Ro-Tel tomatoes, Ranch Style beans, garlic, salt, pepper, and mushrooms if using.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to simmer.
  6. Add beer if desired; otherwise, add 1 cup water.
  7. Simmer for 45 minutes, adding more water for a soupier consistency if needed.
  8. Taste the dish; the beer flavor is subtle and usually not detectable.
