- Place self-rising flour and sugar in a bowl.
- Pour beer over dry ingredients and stir until combined and sticky.
- Pour the mixture into a greased loaf pan.
- Pour one-third of melted margarine over the top of the batter.
- Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
- Pour another one-third of melted margarine over the bread and bake for another 20 minutes.
- Pour the remaining one-third of margarine over the loaf and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
- Allow the bread to cool slightly, then slice.
- Serve warm with butter and honey.
