Ingredients

  • 3 cups self-rising flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 (12 oz) can beer
  • 1 stick melted margarine

Instructions

  1. Place self-rising flour and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Pour beer over dry ingredients and stir until combined and sticky.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased loaf pan.
  4. Pour one-third of melted margarine over the top of the batter.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  6. Pour another one-third of melted margarine over the bread and bake for another 20 minutes.
  7. Pour the remaining one-third of margarine over the loaf and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
  8. Allow the bread to cool slightly, then slice.
  9. Serve warm with butter and honey.
