Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped fine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 3/4 c. canned whole cranberry sauce
  • 1 (12 oz.) bottle chili sauce

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, onion, egg and seasoning.
  2. Wet hands and form balls the size of walnuts.
  3. Place in a 2-quart casserole. Combine cranberry sauce with chili sauce and pour over meatballs. Cover and bake at 300° for 1 hour.
  4. Baste after 1 hour.
  5. Cover again and bake an additional 30 minutes. Can be made the day before to improve flavor.
  6. Serve warm with toothpicks.
  7. Makes 3 dozen.
