Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • dash of allspice
  • 3 Tbsp. Tapioca
  • 2 lb. stew meat
  • 4 large potatoes diced
  • 4 carrots sliced
  • 3 stalks celery chopped
  • 1 29 oz. large can whole tomatoes

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, add stew meat, vegetables, and seasonings (pepper, salt, basil, allspice).
  2. Add the large can of whole tomatoes and tapioca over the vegetables.
  3. Bake the stew at 350°F for one hour.
  4. Then reduce the oven temperature to 300°F and continue baking for three hours.
  5. Cook for at least 3 1/2 hours before serving.
