Ingredients

  • 1 lb. black beans
  • 6 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 head garlic, peeled
  • 2 large dry chilies

Instructions

  1. Soak the black beans overnight in water.
  2. Discard the soaking water.
  3. Add fresh water to cover the beans plus 1/2 inch.
  4. Add chopped onion, chopped green pepper, peeled garlic, and dry chilies to the pot.
  5. Simmer the mixture on the stove for 2 to 3 hours until beans are tender.
