Ingredients

  • 18 oz. chocolate chips
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 4 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 3 Tbsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Put chocolate chips, margarine, and vanilla in a large bowl.
  2. Combine sugar and milk in a large saucepan.
  3. Bring to a rolling boil; boil for 6 minutes.
  4. Stir constantly during boiling.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Pour the hot mixture into the bowl with chocolate chips, margarine, and vanilla.
  7. Stir until the butter and chips are melted and the mixture thickens.
  8. Pour into a greased dish.
  9. Let stand for 5 to 6 hours before cutting.
