Ingredients

  • 6 c. rolled oats
  • 2 c. broken walnuts
  • 2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. chopped dates

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C). Spread the rolled oats on a baking sheet.
  2. Toast the oats in the oven for 1 hour, shaking the pan occasionally to ensure even toasting.
  3. While the oats are toasting, toast the walnuts along with the oats until fragrant.
  4. Allow the toasted oats and nuts to cool completely.
  5. In a large bowl, mix the cooled oats and nuts with raisins and chopped dates.
  6. Store the trail mix in a covered container for freshness.
