Sweet and crunchy bird nest clusters made with chow mein noodles, chocolate, and peanut butter, topped with colorful candies—perfect for festive treats or party favors.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2 cups chow mein noodles
  • Colored candies

Instructions

  1. Put semi-sweet chocolate chips and peanut butter in a microwave-proof bowl. Microwave for 1 minute.
  2. Remove from microwave, stir until smooth, then microwave for an additional 90 seconds or until fully melted.
  3. Add chow mein noodles to the melted mixture and mix until thoroughly coated.
  4. Cover cookie sheets with wax paper.
  5. Drop golf ball-sized clusters of the mixture onto the prepared cookie sheets to cool.
  6. Gently flatten each cluster inside to resemble a nest.
  7. Place a couple of colored candies on top of each nest.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator until set.
