Bird Nests are fun and festive treats perfect for kids and parties, combining crispy chow mein noodles, crunchy peanuts, and sweet butterscotch chips shaped into nest-like formations filled with colorful jelly beans. A delightful no-bake dessert that is easy to make and visually appealing.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. butterscotch chips
  • 5 oz. can chow mein noodles
  • 1 cup chopped salted peanuts
  • 1 bag small jelly beans

Instructions

  1. Melt the butterscotch chips in a pan over low heat.
  2. Add the chow mein noodles and chopped salted peanuts to the melted chips and stir until well combined.
  3. Drop large spoonfuls of the mixture onto cookie sheets lined with wax paper.
  4. Shape each spoonful into a nest with your fingers.
  5. Place 4 to 6 jelly beans into the center of each nest to resemble eggs.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator until set before serving.
