Ingredients

  • 1 lb. 2 oz. flour (500 grams)
  • 9 oz. powdered sugar (220 grams)
  • 3 Tbsp. butter (30 grams)
  • 5 eggs
  • almonds, peeled (whole or sliced)
  • pinch of aniseed
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Butter and flour 2 cookie sheets.
  2. Preheat oven at 350°. Leave almonds for last.
  3. Put all other ingredients in a bowl, mix and knead to form a soft dough.
  4. Add almonds and kneed.
  5. Divide dough in 4 parts.
  6. Makes 4 loaves, 1/2-inch high.
  7. Bake until golden.
  8. Cool.
