Ingredients

  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups cake flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup black walnuts

Instructions

  1. Whip the cream until stiff.
  2. Drop in the whole egg and mix well.
  3. Add sugar gradually, a small amount at a time.
  4. Add salt and vanilla.
  5. Sift together the cake flour and baking powder.
  6. Add the flour mixture by hand to the first mixture, a little at a time, stirring vigorously after each addition.
  7. Fold in the black walnuts.
