Ingredients

  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 package white cake mix
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 (3 oz.) package black raspberry jello
  • 1/2 cup blackberry juice

Instructions

  1. Cook the blackberries and strain to remove seeds.
  2. Reserve 1/4 cup of blackberry juice for icing.
  3. Add water to the strained berry mixture to measure the correct amount.
  4. Combine all ingredients except eggs in a mixing bowl.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased and floured Bundt pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 50 minutes.
  8. Allow the cake to cool before serving.
