Ingredients

  • 4 cups crushed blackberries
  • 4 cups sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash the blackberries and place them in a kettle with the sugar.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil rapidly, stirring constantly until it thickens.
  3. Remove the kettle from heat and skim the foam from the top.
  4. Stir and skim the mixture alternately for 5 minutes.
  5. Pour the hot jam into hot jars and seal with hot lids.
  6. Process in a hot water bath for 5 minutes.
