Blender Chocolate Pie

- Put half of the milk in the blender; add the remaining ingredients except vanilla.
- Add the other half cup of milk and blend well.
- While blending, warm a heavy skillet over medium heat.
- Pour the blended mixture into the skillet and stir constantly.
- Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
- Add vanilla to the mixture and pour into a cooled pie shell.
- Before beating egg whites, add 1 tablespoon cold water and a pinch of salt.
- Beat egg whites until stiff, gradually adding sugar.
- Spread the meringue on the cooled pie.
- Bake at 375°F for 10 minutes or until browned.
- Chill the pie before serving.
