Blushing Mushrooms are a delightful appetizer featuring tender mushrooms in a creamy, flavorful sauce with chives, paprika, and a hint of lemon, perfect for entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 2 (3 oz.) cans whole button mushrooms
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped chives
  • 1 tsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • dash of white pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Drain the mushrooms and melt butter in a skillet.
  2. Add the mushrooms and sauté until browned, about 5 to 8 minutes.
  3. Stir in lemon juice.
  4. Combine chives, flour, paprika, salt, and white pepper; sprinkle over the mushrooms.
  5. Mix sour cream until smooth.
  6. Pour the sour cream over the mushrooms and serve hot with toothpicks.
