Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb macaroni
  • 2 qt water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cream or milk
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 (10 oz) can condensed tomato soup

Instructions

  1. Bring 2 quarts of water to a boil and add 1 teaspoon of salt.
  2. Add 1/2 pound of macaroni to the boiling water and cook for 20 minutes.
  3. Drain the macaroni in a strainer and rinse with 4 cups of cold water.
  4. In a bowl, combine 1 cup of the cooked macaroni with 1/2 cup of cream or milk.
  5. Reheat over low heat while stirring until warmed through.
  6. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with grated cheese, about 1/2 cup or more to taste.
