Ingredients

  • 7 lb. deer roast
  • 1 gal. water
  • 3 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. red pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. vinegar

Instructions

  1. For a seven

  4. parboil
  5. it
  6. in 1 gallon of water to which
  7. has
  8. been
  9. added red pepper, salt and vinegar. Let simmer for 1 hour, then pour off the liquid.
  10. Put meat set in cold water about 30 minutes, pour this liquid off.
