Bourbon balls are a delightful no-bake treat that combines the rich flavors of butter, chocolate, and the warmth of bourbon. Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
  • 1 lb. (1 box) 10x confectioners sugar
  • 4 1/2 tsp. 100 proof bourbon
  • 8 sq. (1 oz. each) semi-sweet chocolate
  • 36 pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Beat butter in a medium-size bowl until light and fluffy.
  2. Gradually beat in the 10x confectioners sugar.
  3. Slowly beat in the bourbon and chill for 1 hour or until the mixture is stiff enough to shape.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls.
  5. Arrange the balls in a single layer on a wax paper-lined tray and chill for 1 hour.
  6. Melt the chocolate in the top of a double boiler over simmering water.
  7. Remove the chocolate from heat and cool until it reaches a good dipping consistency.
  8. Dip each bourbon ball halfway into the chocolate using a 3-pronged fork.
  9. Return the dipped balls to the wax paper-lined tray.
  10. Place a pecan half on top of each ball.
  11. Once all the bourbon balls have been dipped, return the tray to the refrigerator.
  12. Chill for about 30 minutes or until firm.
