Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. bourbon or brandy
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger
  • 4 c. pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients, except pecan halves, in a saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over low heat.
  3. Boil for 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. Add pecan halves and stir until well coated and sauce begins to crystallize.
  5. Spread pecans on waxed paper, separate, and let cool.
