Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 3 1/4 cups white bread flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons fast rise yeast

Instructions

  1. After the dough or manual cycle is completed in the bread machine, remove the dough from the machine.
  2. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and carefully form into a ball without punching down.
  3. Place onto a greased cookie sheet and let rise about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. Brush the risen dough with beaten egg.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 to 35 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let the bread cool completely.
  7. Hollow out the cooled bread like a pumpkin, reserving the lid to put back on.
  8. Fill with your favorite meat, soup, or other fillings.
  9. Replace the top of the bread.
  10. Serve and enjoy.
