Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. Rapid Rise yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water with 1 teaspoon of sugar added.
  2. Pour milk into microwave-safe container and heat to scalding; add salt, sugar, and cooking oil.
  3. Cool the mixture and then add the yeast mixture.
  4. Add enough flour to make a stiff dough.
  5. Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
  6. Pinch off pieces of dough to make individual rolls, place in a greased pan, and let rise until doubled in size.
  7. Bake in a 400°F oven for 10 minutes.
