- Dissolve yeast in warm water with 1 teaspoon of sugar added.
- Pour milk into microwave-safe container and heat to scalding; add salt, sugar, and cooking oil.
- Cool the mixture and then add the yeast mixture.
- Add enough flour to make a stiff dough.
- Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
- Pinch off pieces of dough to make individual rolls, place in a greased pan, and let rise until doubled in size.
- Bake in a 400°F oven for 10 minutes.
