- Cut the top off the large round loaf of unsliced French or sourdough bread.
- Hollow out the inside of the loaf to create a bowl, leaving about 1 inch of bread intact around the edges.

- Sprinkle basil or oregano to taste inside the bread bowl.
- Use the bread bowl to serve chicken legs or chicken salad.
