An edible bread serving bowl made from a round loaf, perfect for serving chicken dishes or salads. Flavored with melted margarine and herbs, it adds a rustic touch.

Ingredients

  • 1 large round loaf unsliced French or sourdough bread
  • melted margarine
  • basil or oregano to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the top off the large round loaf of unsliced French or sourdough bread.
  2. Hollow out the inside of the loaf to create a bowl, leaving about 1 inch of bread intact around the edges.
  3. Brush the inside of the bread bowl with melted margarine.
  4. Sprinkle basil or oregano to taste inside the bread bowl.
  5. Use the bread bowl to serve chicken legs or chicken salad.
