Tips & Substitutions

For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of cumin or coriander to the dressing. If you prefer a sweeter salad, substitute honey or agave syrup for some of the olive oil. Fresh herbs like parsley or mint can also enhance the dish. To save prep time, pre-shredded vegetables can be used, though fresh is always best for texture.

Serving Suggestions

This salad is perfect as a light lunch or a refreshing side dish at dinner. It pairs beautifully with grilled chicken or fish and is an excellent addition to any Mediterranean recipes table. For a heartier meal, consider serving it alongside quinoa or a protein-rich grain.

Storage & Reheating

Store leftover salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. The flavors will meld together, but be aware that the vegetables may lose some crunch. To refresh the salad, toss in a little extra olive oil and citrus juice before serving.
