Ingredients

  • 2 c. warm water
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 6 1/2 to 7 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Mix in sugar and salt.
  3. Add about half of the flour and mix well.
  4. Add the egg and stir in well.
  5. Add the shortening.
  6. Mix well for 2 minutes.
  7. Add the rest of the flour.
  8. Mix well and form a ball.
  9. Cover with grease.
