- Place milk, oleo, egg, sugar, salt, flour, and yeast in the breadmaker according to the manufacturer's directions.
- Set the breadmaker to the dough cycle and run it until complete.
- Remove the dough after the cycle finishes.
- Roll the dough into a large rectangle.
- Fold the rectangle in half.
- Cut the folded dough into triangles.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer.
- Drop the dough triangles into the hot oil and fry for 1 to 2 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove the sopaipillas from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Dust with confectioners sugar and serve with honey.
