  • 1 beef brisket (medium)
  • liquid smoke
  • barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Coat the brisket with liquid smoke.
  2. Let the brisket rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Apply barbecue sauce to the brisket.
  4. Cook the brisket at 275°F (135°C) for 2 to 2½ hours, tightly covered.
  5. Uncover the brisket for the last 30 minutes to brown the sauce.
  6. Drain off excess fat.
  7. Add additional sauce to finish.
