A hearty, savory soup blending beef, tomato, and mixed veggies with a touch of Worcestershire and ketchup—perfect for quick family dinners or a comforting side with cornbread.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cans Thrifty Maid stewed tomatoes
  • 2 cans Veg-All mixed vegetables
  • good dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 c. ketchup
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a pot.
  2. Drain excess fat and rinse the beef with hot water.
  3. Add the chopped onion, stewed tomatoes, mixed vegetables, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes.
  5. Serve hot, ideally with cornbread on the side.
