Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 egg
  • Quick Quaker oats

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar together.
  2. Add egg, self-rising flour, and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
  4. Roll each piece in quick Quaker oats to coat.
  5. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 10 to 12 minutes until golden.
