Ingredients

  • 1 cup soft butter
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups sifted flour

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter until smooth.
  2. Add sugar, vanilla or almond extract, and eggs; beat until light and fluffy.
  3. Add salt and sifted flour; mix well to combine.
  4. Drop by half-teaspoons onto a greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes or until edges are browned.
