Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 c. rye flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 3/4 c. milk
  • 2 egg whites
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/2 c. oil

Instructions

  1. Sift together all dry ingredients: rye flour, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Mix egg yolks and milk together and add to the dry mixture.
  3. Fold in egg whites, leaving a few fluffs for lightness.
  4. Cook the batter in a waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
