Ingredients

  • 12 slices Italian or French bread (1/2 inch thick)
  • 2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Place bread slices on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. Drizzle each slice with olive oil.
  4. Bake approximately 8 minutes or until the bread is toasted golden brown.
  5. Remove from oven and let slices cool.
