- Add chopped green onion to the butter and sauté until tender.
- Halve potatoes lengthwise, then slice crosswise into 1/8-inch thick slices.
- Line up the sliced potatoes in a buttered 9 x 13-inch baking pan with slices overlapping.
- Pour the butter and onion mixture over the potatoes, then season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake an additional 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese is slightly browned and melted.
