Ingredients

  • 2 yeast cakes
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup Crisco oil
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
  2. In a large bowl, mix sugar, Crisco oil, 1/2 cup hot water, and salt.
  3. Stir beaten eggs into the yeast mixture, then add to the water mixture.
  4. Add flour to the mixture.
  5. Stir well until combined.
  6. Put the dough in the refrigerator overnight or all day.
  7. Roll out the dough, adding flour as needed to prevent sticking.
  8. Cut the rolls and place them on a greased cookie sheet.
  9. Let the rolls rise for 3 hours.
  10. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes.
