Ingredients

  • 1 medium cabbage
  • 3 large Irish potatoes
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 block oleo (butter)
  • 1 medium onion
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Use a Pyrex casserole dish.
  2. Shred the cabbage, slice the potatoes and onion.
  3. Layer the cabbage, onion, and potatoes in the dish.
  4. Repeat the layering until the dish is full.
  5. Mix melted oleo (butter), mushroom soup, water, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the sauce over the layered vegetables.
  7. Cover the dish and bake in a 350°F oven until the vegetables are tender.
  8. During baking, remove the lid and stir once.
