Cabbage Cornbread Casserole

- Set oven at 350°.
- In skillet on medium heat, add a teaspoon shortening.
- Add cabbage, onion, green peppers, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Saute.
- (Do not fry.)
- Cover, stirring often, then add cheese soup.
- Stir, then remove.
- Mix Jiffy cornbread according to directions on the box.
- Pour cabbage mixture in 9 x 13-inch dish (any dish can be used, depends on how deep or wide you choose), then pour cornbread mixture on top.
- Even out.
- Bake until cornbread is done, about 20 to 25 minutes.
