Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground meat with soy protein
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 medium head cabbage
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • pepper
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Saute ground meat and chopped onions for about 10 minutes.
  2. Pour off excess liquids, if desired.
  3. Add tomato sauce, water, salt, garlic powder (if using), and oregano (if using).
  4. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Add cabbage strips and cooked rice.
  6. Stir well to combine, then cover and cook for an additional 18 to 20 minutes.
