Cabbage Salad (Kapusta)

Ingredients

  • 6 small onions, chopped
  • 2 1/2 c. green peppers, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 3 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar

Instructions

  1. Shred cabbage, then heat all other ingredients together to a boil.
  2. Pour hot mixture over cabbage and stir.
  3. Cool.
  4. Refrigerate in a sealed bowl.
  5. Stir several times a day.
  6. Make 3 to 4 days ahead for best flavor.
