Ingredients

  • 3 large pork steaks or boneless pork chops
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 can jalapeno chilies
  • 1 pint stewed tomatoes
  • salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • water as needed
  • grated cheese

Instructions

  1. Dice the pork and brown it in oil.
  2. Add chopped onion and sauté for a few minutes.
  3. Add jalapeno chilies and stewed tomatoes.
  4. Add salt and cumin to taste.
  5. Let simmer until the pork is tender.
  6. Add water if the mixture gets too thick before the pork is tender.
  7. Use the filling to stuff tacos, burritos, or serve over rice.
  8. Sprinkle grated cheese over the finished dish.
