Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 lb. beef flank steak
  • about 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 to 2 cups low-sodium soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Rub liberal amounts of brown sugar into both sides of the flank steak.
  2. Lay the steak into an oblong container and cover with soy sauce.
  3. Lift the steak so the soy sauce gets underneath.
  4. Cover and marinate for 1 hour.
  5. Turn the steak over, re-cover, and marinate for an additional 1 hour.
