Ingredients

  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 6 Tbsp. cold shortening
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar

Instructions

  1. Cut in shortening.
  2. Stir in milk quickly and knead lightly for a few seconds, using as little flour as possible on board.
  3. Roll to 1/4-inch thickness and cut with floured cutter.
  4. Cook in lightly greased hot skillet over very low heat until biscuits are brown on underside and raised to height of 1-inch.
  5. Turn and brown on other side.
